Now you may be wondering, just who is Alec? And why did he create Rel8tionship.com? My name is Alec, and I’m a blog writer, digital marketing consultant in Vancouver. This is my blog.

Lots of people think of me as a dating blogger, a relationship expert, a dating guru, but I don’t like those labels. I’m not saying there’s anything wrong with those labels – I personally know some relationship blog experts, and they’re great people! But I’m just not a big fan of those labels – the moment you label me, there’s just all of these assumptions and judgement that comes with it. Things I’m supposed to say or not say; what’s offensive and controversial, etc. etc., you know what I’m saying.

I started this blog to have an alternative outlet for my creativity, as well as to bring together a group of individuals passionate in helping others. You may not know this about me (but you’ll find out about this soon), but I’ve had lots of love (and of course, heartbreaks) in my 34 years (and counting) of living. Having been a prolific dater, I’ve had plenty of dating stories and experiences to share. Friends have always asked me for relationship advice, and suggested that I write about relationships – so I went with it. Blogging is a great way to meet those in similar situations, find an audience and help them succeed in life.

I love giving the male perspective on things. So many women out there are always trying to understand men, and to be honest, it’s not always as easy as you think. I’m always on the lookout for new things to write about, and always looking for new things to try.
